That is pretty cool. My Dad used to have old scalextrix gear - the cars were old 1960's open wheeler f1 style.
Always wanted to set up a track again - not sure the missus would appreciate it.
One can only dream I guess ;D

the chick in the red shorts looks a bit of a horn bag, but I reckon the cars would scare the cows.

M dad had one of the open wheeler scales trick sets too. The front wheels actually steered independently of the car so sliding out the rear would end up looking like the driver out in some opposite lock to correct. The whole track was metal in three peices for each section, none of that plastic garbage you get now.

Great track lot of work. Braid too so no "magnatraction" advantage. I ve been a slot car tragic for years. My parents had a shop when I was a tot. Gotta an unhealthy collection of 1/32 scale cars now.

That is a work of art. Great effort, not for kids to touch.
We got 1 up in the Attick somewhere, just waiting for the kids to be old enough for the fun......
