Hay guys
I've been look at options on mounting my motor bike on the top of my cape York hard floor camper I can't mount it on the draw bar cos there's no room
So just only spot I can c is on top just wondering what other Peaple haven done pics would be great thanks case

Not sure I would want to mount directly to the floor rack. Do you have boat loader mounting points/brackets that you could attaché a custom frame to?

Couldn't make a removable (as in lynch pinned) frame out the rear across sideways. Might work, bit more dust, but away from the stones and flying debris.
Just a thought....

I've seen a few mid sized dirt bikes mounted on towbar mounted racks on the rear of cars recently. Quite impressive. Maybe something like that would work .

Motow is what your referring to. There are others as well. Rig one of them up to fit on the rear if possible.

Have seen a quad bike on top of a soft floor, he had modified the boat rack to suit you could do something like that.
-
So now your gunna need a cattle ramp to get the bike on and off. Just to set up the camper.

Have a look at some bike racks, like the ISI ones. It may give you some ideas, click on the adventures tab to see different setups on different vehicles, vans and campers.
You may be able to design one to suite your needs.

Yeah something like that is what I was thinking
And yes I will need two long ramps
I would not tie to the floor I will make brackets off the chassie to tie to

Have you worked out how much your going to exceed the GROSS weight of the Camper by?
When you fit all of this to the Trailer.
And all the fuel and food and extras you need.
What are you going to leave at home, that you would normally take?
The Missus? or the Beer? ;D
-
Leave the wife and more beer
-
No I have not worked out the weight yet good thinking but
We don't take much with us just what we will use but yeah weight
The camper has 4 shocks on it and has a spot were u could put a boat so I could take all the boat stuff of for the bike

We have a motow rack that fits on the back of the trailer into the recovery hitch or the hitch on the car if we are not taking the camper.
From Memory its $289 and its carried a Suzuki DR650 and currently a Honda CRF230. Its travelled some crappy roads as we live in the gulf over winter and travel 7 months over the wet. Ive fitted indicators to it also to keep it all safe.
Never had any problems with it and its detachable in a few minutes.
Been travelling with it consistently for 3 years now.
