Hey
Anyone into wild river kayak (or canadian canoe) touring?
As the move is on to Northern Rivers NSW come June I would love to resurrect this part of my past. I get the impression there may be a few rivers up that way. I have done the Sytx, Chandler, Macleay a few times and the Shoalhaven, Deau and Moruya. Queanbeyan and the Tuross.
Are there clubs that do this up north?
Anyone interested? I promise I won't mention drawbar lengths once.
cheers

Hi,
I've done the Franklin in 10 days - that was fun in March.
I like sea touring but unfortunately get sea-sick, so have stuck to relatively mild rivers like the Derwent, Huon etc.
Did a 2 day trip down the Craycroft/Huon from Craycroft Crossing to the Arve Bridge, that was brilliant.

My son and I are gradually trekking down the Condamine River. Can only do the upper reaches after rain. Done about 36 hours of paddling in total and only just scratched the surface. The waters of the Condy eventually make their way to SA via the mighty Murray.
