Hi to everyone, just joined last night.
A tiny bit about me. Just into my 60s now, and have done a fair amount of camping (tents) over the years along with 4WD. Bought an Evernew caravan last year (2nd hand) and its great, but really keen to get set-up for more adventurous travels over the next few years. Consequently I'm sure to have countless questions on going the camper trailer route. Car is GQ Patrol 4.2 diesel. Travel with 2yr old German Shepherd. Have done some motor racing in F-Vee, but now nearly finished BMW 318 for circuit sprints.
Main aim in life now is to RETIRE!!!!! Have travelled more OS than in Oz so now to see my own backyard. Can't wait.
FYI, I live about hour out Adelaide on Lake Alexandrina. Cheers to all.

Thanks for the welcome.
In case you were wondering, I had a Disco 1 V8 - loved it, but had to "duck" occasionally when looking at the fuel price. :'(

Hopefully below are a couple of pics. First one is welcome to Birdsville Track on way to flooded Cooper Crk a couple of years ago, second is at Melrose CP last year with van and dog.

Bother, maybe this time second pic.
Notice the split rims now gone and running BFG AT.

Welcome to the forum Discoduck - great to have another South Aussie on here.
Lovely part of the world is Lake Alexandrina!
What are your honest opinions on the Evernew? What length is it. Feel free to post up some pics of it in the My Camper Trailer section.

Hi JCOJ
Van is just on 16', single axle, independent suspension, 2000 model. 240v ducted heating/cooling, Queen bed, café dining, 2 x 9kg gas. Have to say they really are as good as their reputation, damn solid, tracks beautifully. They are known to heavier for their size than comparable vans, and mine is probably 2-300kg heavier. But its all in the strength. Evernew is also a great company to deal with. I got it from them in Melbourne. I'll see if I can post a few pics in My CT section. Cheers
