Thanks in advance

Whatever you do you need to lure the them somewhere or you'll be cleaning the buggers up forever..........bowl of honey for an ant feeding orgy with a bit of pigeons pest controller mixed.
Keep pets and kids away from that poison though it will kill a horse.....theres probably a more appropriate poison but that stuff is my go to when I need to kill things, great for white ants.

Use a combination a Crawley Cruncher surface spray and Crawley Cruncher ant powder.
Just google it, works much better than Any other brand.

ANT RID..
Just put a pool about the size of a 5 or 20 cent piece on a window seal.. They'll come and feed on that for about 2-3 weeks and there will be a influx of the little buggers so don't stress but during that time they'll take it back to there nest and feed the big mummy ant..
After that no more ants :cup:
And just be patience it will work

I mix up Honey and Borax (water softener) and it does the same as antrid, but seems to last a little longer... YMMV of course...

Hi Bluejay,
I have sent you a pm

Find the nest and physically destroy it.
If nest is in a large pot plant then just dump the pot plant contents in a bin. Otherwise if it's in the ground dig it up with shovel and hose.

I prefer this method
Liquid aluminum poured into anthills creates stunning sculptures | 14/12/2013 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQnd9hmJye0#ws)
(plus pretty darn cool)

that is very very kewl
dunno how you found that searching or what you were searching for... LOL!

Many years ago I was talking with a greenkeeper on how they control ants and he said they use lawn grub chemicals.
He said liquid concentrate is similar to ant sand/ant rid, but the liquid concentrate of lawn grub killer is a lot cheaper. So now I just mix it up in the watering can and pour it over nets I find in the yard.
But you have to remember black ants can travel along way, so while you might clear all the nets in your yard, they could be coming from your neighbours yards or even living inside a brick wall where access to use chemicals is difficult.

Have I honestly can't remember. I think someone sent it to me in a link a while ago. Either way, pretty cool effect. Would look awesome in the shed with a light on it.

Swmbo told me to pour boiling water down their holes, so I said "ok, you wrestle their legs apart and I'll get the boiling water"

My ants must be different , ant sand does no good at all.
-
Ant sand doesn't seem to be getting the job done here either, they just find a way around it.

We use this up here for back ants and Singapore Ants. (Electric Ants in QLD) It is very good but a bit pricey. Ants go mad for it, take it back to the nest and in two days all gone. Just check they kill your type of ant.

This is what the pest controllers here on the coast use. Well worth the extra money as it works every time and is long lasting!
Thanks

You can buy the commercial version of ant rid from the suppliers that supply pest control people. It also can come with Ant cafés which are small plastic. Triangles that you fill with the liquid and it keeps dogs away etc. remember Ant rid is not UV proof so exposure to light quickly kills its effectiveness .
