When possible I try to camp near water.........to save drinking water a mate normally sets up a pump for shower, washing up water, dogs water etc from the creeks we camp by often
Last week I trailed my setup.....I have had the bits laying around for a while
I have a sand spear filter similar to this one http://www.glind.com.au/store/product/48-sand-spear-filter a pressure pump, battery and some hose. Looked like this

Just need to buy a good length of hose and a smaller battery.....planning to mount the battery, pump and wiring in box of some sort and maybe a small solar panel on top, will also have an andersen on plug to charge the battery while we are driving.
Might use a milk create similar to the auto bilge pump I set up for the work dingy complete with battery and solar panel......the boat hasn't sunk in 18 months
Show is your setup....also considering a non potable water tank for the camper

Cool set up. Never camped long enough need water. For a battery maybe one of those small jump packs with Anderson plug fitted could work for you.

A mate of mine used a similar setup when we camped on the Murray.....very convenient when staying for a few days..... :cup:

We have much the same. A small foot valve connected to 5metres of hose and click connected to a Shurflo Pump. The pump is run off a Jump Starter Pack. From the pump we have a 30 metre hose click connected and run to a tap I've mounted on the side of the Camper. Turn tap on and bingo water to your campsite.

Or you could just buy this http://www.myswag.org/index.php?topic=34181.msg542128#msg542128 (http://www.myswag.org/index.php?topic=34181.msg542128#msg542128) and have hot and cold water ;D ;D

Get a bucket with a rock in it so that it sinks, tie a rope to the handle and attach the hose from the pump so it draws water from the bucket, then throw it out, great if there are weeds and the like, only draws clean water from the inside of the bucket.

a 12 v bilge pump or a 240v pond pump connected via inverter and extension lead
but bucket sounds better. If you get a steel bucket you can heat the water on the fire and chuck in the bilge pump to send water to the shower head..
