Due to a sever lack of funds, thanks to 12 months of cancer and doctors type battle, we’ve had to sell assets to fund ourselves whilst I am not able to work full time.
Sadly, that meant selling the wife’s late model 7 seat fun bus and then buy a $6,000 7 seater.
That meant we scored a slightly very neglected Jackaroo, 2001 model with 180,000 k’s, turbo diesel 5 speed manual.
As a former Mechanic, this model is just after I gave the game away, so it is almost something I can sort out completely, a few of the trick-a-logics may slow me up a bit.
So in the shed it is, 3 days of me giving it a full service, some repairs and massive clean, to say it was filthy is an understatement.
Came to bleeding out the old clutch fluid and replacing it. I knew the clutch was a bit soft, and assumed it to be due to bad and old fluid with air trapped within.
So I had the better half (not so better after this) pumping the pedal for me whilst I am under with my triple jointed wrist on the nipple and hose calling the shots.
I started by getting her in the seat and telling her it is the clutch I am doing, having already done the brakes.
You know where this is going don’t you.
So I am under calling “Down”, she saying yep, and I’m getting nothing.
After a few goes of nothing I’m thinking about removing the master cyl.
On and on it goes, bit of frustration from me, until I open the nipple and told her to pump it and tell me if it is hard, she said “Yes” it is hard like all the other times.
It is now I ask if it clutch or brake your pumping?
Off course it was the brake.
Argggg!!!!!!!!!!!
Nearly pulled out the clutch master cyl for no reason, and for those who don’t know, this item was fitted to the car, then they somehow squeezed an engine in front of it. An extension hose is required to top the reservoir up.
Just smile and wave, just smile and wave, is what I tell myself……

And keep breathing, breath in breath out smile and wave haha

Yep, she is great with the kids, not sure about her hair yet, as it is just growing back and is completely different to before.
Map reading, Ha, that is me, just me, our lengthy drive through Europe was interesting until I made my post-it-note method.
As for Pics, pics of what? The car aint anything special, and wife don't like cameras.....
