Hi guys,
Just bought a 2013 Jayco Swan with some extras at the Caravan and Camping sale here in Brisbane. We have handover on 19/11/13. Looking forward to it. First camper ever. Mum, Dad and a 9 year old son.

Wow KB thanks for the list! We booked into Wivenhoe for the weekend after pick up, but actually went out there last weekend and were disappointed with the distance from the site (last one left) to the water and the very steep incline - we're kayakers and that drag up the hill would kill me! :)
Now booked into Scarborough park for the maiden voyage. Nothing strenuous. ;)

Welcome Kevin,
Good luck with the new CT and happy camping.

Got her home last night, and set up for the first time. Easy peasy. Hosed down the canvas and it's drying off nicely today.
Now to get it stocked up, and off to Scarborough on the weekend!

Hey Kevin, How did the new camper go in the storms last last night?
-
bye the way welcome to the forum. Darren.

Thanks Darren. She went well. We were at Scarborough when the storm came over, so missed most of the real heavy stuff. We didn't have the bed end flys on either, but just zipped her all up, and rolled in the awning and it was completely watertight. I was pleasantly surprised.
Cheers

Hi Kevin and Family,
Well Done! Best decision you'll ever make. :cup:
And don't forget there are blogs on this site (mine too) that'll give you more than enough places to go ... it's a blood big country mate!!
