Sorry I can't help with the CP question, but may I recommend that you take the back road (was dirt when I did it many years ago) to Central Tilba and Tilba Tilba, great drive and lovely destination.

We stayed at the Big 4 many years ago. No matter what all say they do -  do a good job - was clean and under control, yes cost a bit more but we got what we paid for. We were in a cabin so it may not be as pertinent  but the park was good.

Island View beach resort. Staying there the long weekend. Lucky we booked early as there is a Blues festival the same weekend. Have stayed there many times and the kids love it.

Cheers
Louise :D

Have you thought about staying at Tuross Head???

About 20 mins from Narooma on the northern side.

The CP in town near One Tree Point is great.
Might be booked for school hols. Worth a call to see if it interests you. It is right on the waters edge.

River, ocean. Short walk to shops..... really really good butcher!!!!

Worth checking out if you say in Narooma for a day trip. Go to the Boat Shed for fish n chips on the deck.

Have stayed at Big 4 Island View twice during peak ie Xmas/new year. Got crowded but what else would you expect. Great facilities but they struggled to keep up cleaning the showers/toilets a little but again it was very very busy. I would stay there again.

now to work out what to do

If a diver - wreck of the Lady Darling is one of the best shallow-ish (30m) wreck dives on the NSW coast. Or snorkel trip to the seal colony on Montague Island - take a tennis ball and release it near bottom - and watch what happens. Great whites not around (much) as it's only a haul-out colony  ;D

Narooma is great

on the pier . great entertainment as theres a boat ramp next door  .. hours of fun
an easy walk from the caravan park

there's a safe swimming beach for the kids which has been netted

and don't forget the fresh oysters and fish shop next to the bridge

we stayed on the lake side as it was a little quieter
