With weekends now being free and things I want to do to the cruiser and camper I have been looking (shopping) on Ebay. It does not help going camping for nearly3 weeks with the Ebay Guru (JK) and him telling me all the bargains he buys. :D
I am stunned how they make money on some of the items they sell which includes postage from China and Hong Kong.
Example 280 pieces of heat shrink ( different sizes) in a plastic container del for $7.80 from Hong Kong. Your lucky to get 15 pieces for $11 at a retailer.

Everyday I go to the post office and there is a parcel. ;D You don't have to spend much to get some great buys.
I have 6 months worth of weekend things to do with my purchases.

yes I was addicted for a while.. U need to stop. complete the 6 months of jobs u have already and have bought to do..
I have bought heaps off ebay, but now I can control myself. only buying what I need.
saves me going to melbourne shopping...
Carry on...
-
I never thought id be best friends with the Aust Post Driver and the Courier driver they are always interested as well with what im getting and where the next trip is.
-
I like looking thru catalogs and for me ebay is one huge catalog.
-
ebay and greys and what ever else the comes up on ozbargain, these days i tend to only buy what i really need ( damit )
-
I just bought a waeco fridge slide from gumtree for peanuts. Its too big for what I want but I couldnt leave it at the price. I'm turning it around on ebay shortly.............do i have a problem?
-
X2
-
Im also an Ebay-addict lol i tend to make a bunch of orders all at once, then i wait for the delivery truck to arrive.
Some bargains to be had at a very low cost.
-
they call the buy fix sell process, flipping in america..
so if ya buy on gum tree and sell on ebay for example, thats called flip.
YOu need to join your local facebook, buy sell group.. u will find lots of bargains there, fix them up then flip them on ebay or gumtree.
Carry on...
-
eBay.......................no not me >:D ;D
-
I've noticed most AU sellers will put a discount % on their items once a month or so. I've been watching an MSA wheel/rubbish bag and just picked one up at 10% off with free shipping. So patience really is a virtue 8)

Yes it is D4D,
Watch and learn.
;D

I've bought stuff from China, including postage that was so cheap $1-$2. Couldn't even come close to paying postage within Australia.
-
i bought a sim adaptor for 10 cents with free postage.. think it came from china too. either way, it was a loss for them..
Carry on...
-
things maybe cheap on ebay, but 99% of it is just Shit quality...
And there are rarely used bargains of anything made with any form of QC anymore. I've seen so much used Shit go for more than retail it isn't funny.
-
Well as you all buy on ebay this is where i sell.
I spend far to much time on it but do love it lol
I do buy the odd item there but normaly purchase from china via other avenues.

Mark, that stuff is only good for indoor and/or in cab locations. If you are using it where it is exposed to moisture you need the glue lined stuff - something like this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Heatshrink-Adhesive-Lined-4mm-1-22m-Black-Pack-of-1-33066-/160958604063?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2579e1631f&_uhb=1 (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Heatshrink-Adhesive-Lined-4mm-1-22m-Black-Pack-of-1-33066-/160958604063?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2579e1631f&_uhb=1)

I too have been spending a lot of time on Ebay Hong Kong and China. At first I was sceptical about the quality of the LED light strips and torches, but for the price they have been brilliant. Even if they only lasted a couple of years, I’m still ahead if they needed replacing.
It can take 3 to 4 weeks to arrive, but for the price of the item and free delivery I can’t complain.
-

That's because eBay are pushing 2nd hand stuff to Gumtree...
-
Where else can you go shopping and compare prices and quality for the same item from several suppliers and only wear as much or as little clothing as you want. I do a hell of a lot of shopping with my friend Ebay.

Try searchign for things that arent in China/HK/Tw etc.
Even when you advanced search for items only in AU your ****ed.

Give Aliexpress a go. If it's available from HK or CN or TW sellers on ebay Australia, chances are its available on Aliexpress, sometimes cheaper, plus they offer better postage options, which can sometimes only take around 5 days to arrive from China.

Toughen up man and stop wasting money on ebay stuff, btw, did I mention that $7.80 is a good price and I just bought some.....lol.... ;D
-
If you can get it for $5 on ebay then you can get it for 50c on alibaba.
Only problem is you have to buy a container load.
And don't deal with the Western union only cons.
