Title: JBs Steel capped boots?
Post by: cruisindub on July 29, 2013, 10:17:27 PM
Hi all,

Went to the local work wear place today, looking for a new pair of lace up steel caps.

They had 'JBs' brand boots. They were the cheapest there, of the lace ups.
The steel blues, and a couple others were around the $180 mark,

The JBs were $95.
Are these anygood? Anybody tried them and been happy/unhappy with them?

Didnt really want to spend $180, but next up was $140 for lace ups.

Although more on the expensive side, I can vouch for the Steel Blue's, very light, very comfortable and very well built.

Can't comment on the JBs But I had been a loyal Steel Blue wearer until I tried PUMA brand boots. They are great. More comfortable than Steel Blue. Just my 2c.
Cheers, Mike.

Hi Flindersroses,

I should have been online earlier today. Having searched around and found these to be the cheapest lace up steel caps boots, bar Kmart brand, I bought them today.
$95. from our local 'western work wear'    suppliers.

The $60 +freight is a good price. I couldnt justify spending $180, at this point in time.

My first impression was the sole was a bit slippery when walking on the wet steel deck today. ??
