It has been years since I have had to buy one......what brand do people recommend?
Looking for the ones with the secure lids. Mostly for coffee, tea and milo.
What do you have? Help me sort the dapper from the crapper......

I have 2 Tupperware ones mine are the older design I think but have had them forever and they are good. I have no affiliation with Tupperware have had other no name brand ones in the past that have leaked around the lid

Hi,
We have thermos brand ones and they have been fantastic, we have had them for 5 yrs or so.
Cheers
-
I haven't found a travel mug yet that doesn't leak like a basketball hoop.
-
I like the "keeper cup" brand since they are one of the few the fits in a standard cup holder.
-
The arb one i got for being on 4wdtv is great, keeps the coffee nice and hot for a long time..
Tapa talk is annoying.

We use the keepcup for traveling and when away camping. Great for the kids to use as milo cups when camping as they can't spill their drinks. Never leaks, dishwasher proof, fits most cup holders and you can choose your own design. Not insulated like a thermos but keeps my coffee hot enough until I've drunk it. Great for cold drinks too and better for the environment than disposable coffee cups.

My kids gave me a Thermos branded one for fathers day.

Burnt my mouth on the coffee 2 hours later. Think it is 470ml

Yep. I've got one of these, and I can make a coffee early in the morning, and burn my mouth 4 hrs later.
Very good if you want to keep your drink hot.

I got over crap travel mugs a few years back (and kids crap water bottles) bought two of these and we don't hit the road without them. Push button to drink so no splashin and they keep drinks hot if you preheat them properly..

Replaced the kids water bottles with camelbak ones.

My wife is mad for her coffee, so a good travel mug that will keep the 6am coffee hot until 9am is high on my shopping list when I go away.
The best I have found are a Thermos and a Copco 'tea' travel mugs. Both will still be very hot past lunch time. and still warm enough to drink at 4pm, which is a bonus when I find that she made a coffee, forgot to take it to work and I'm 1st home :cup:.
Both have a push button top, rather than a slide that restricts you to what side of the cup you can drink from. They also positively seal, even when tipped over. They also fit in the cup holders in the ute, unlike a lot of the smaller ones or ones that are necked down at the bottom and tend to rattle around.

This one seems to be the preferred receptacle at the moment (ours is in basic black though).

Question... are the hot on the outside - one I had before used to burn the living piss out of you when full and didn't have a handle
-
I got the Primus one from the green shed. It's been thrown around, dropped out of the cab of an aerodyne a number of times and generally abused for around 18 months. It don't leak, it don't get hot to hang on to and it keeps my coffee hot for ages. It got a screw on lid too so it don't spill coffee everywhere when knock it over. All in all, one of the best I've had. And I've had a few.

No, they are double skinned, so no warmth comes through

Mmmmm travel mug?
Ask Rumpig, I'm sure he will go with you.
