Most of it was made into a long heap on the northern side (right of photos) for the tide to deal with ;D. It also acts like a guide to show drivers where the access is and it is the point that you are not supposed to go past :police: as it is protected species breeding area :cup:.I dont expect it to be there today after high tide 8)

The youngest son in law and I went to Balgo Hills, got a 2000HZJ slightly damaged and no motor, hooked it up with an A Frame and dragged it back to Mulan. An interesting experience given the tie rods were not hooked up, made for some hairy moments.

Yesterday at work I had to help audit all of councils caravan parks in Hervey bay, it was a great chance to check all the new campers out there.
Today I am of to Fraser island to do some tree work, 3rd time this year.

Shame it was not done for the long weekend just gone.
Had to walk down to the beach to fish.
Suppose that gave me an excuse to be thirsty.!!

I would have loved to have it fixed before the long weekend :-[, but end of financial year meant we had no funds to pay for machinery ??? and had to claim on insurance which took time :'(. The work I did in the photo is the 6th time since September last year we have had to repair the access, that is more often than in the 6 or 7 years since we did a major upgrade to the access. The photo at the start of this thread where the broken boards are was a good 20 meters back from the face of the dune in February this year. And it is still retreating ???. I will do my best to keep it open ,but I follow instructions  I don't give them

Hi Grizzly
Not really sand, but I know a couple of mildly corrugated roads that need repairing.
