Title: 4wd drawers do the slides rattle?
Post by: achjimmy on June 10, 2013, 04:11:14 PM
Never had fourby drawers before, debating whether to get Driftas with the Teflon runner or some ORS ones with metal runners or make some myself which would use drawer runners.  I was told the Driftas will droop and rub on the tailgate?  another mate said at least they won't rattle? So I thought I'd ask the question, the 200 is so damn quiet I don't want a rattle, it wouldn't have mattered in the Paj though

Going for a single drawer with the fridge alongside, I will be making the base board and side wings etc as I want to customize and don't know what I want yet.

My 10 year old 2nd hand Outback drawers are as quiet as a church mouse, as is the 2nd hand Autosafe full cargo barrier.

If you're going for a single drawer with a false floor, I'd be going the same way Matt150 did with the Drifta drawer.

Edit - I now get what you mean with the rubbing on the tailgate as it is drop down. I'd call Luke from Drifta and ask them.

Have a look at Blackwidow drawers, no rattles back there.

I use metal and bearing type runners and my draws will rattle if they are empty. Quite as a mouse with a bit of weight in them.
