The Hunter Valley Camping show is on this weekend: May 24-26. It's at Maitland Showground and is well sign-posted for out-of-towners...just off the New England Highway.
Come along and see the fantabulous, stupendous GT Campers range of Toyota Hiluxes and off-road touring trailers going up and down and around and around a thousand times ;)
This is one of the better shows, I reckon, so come along and say G'day. I'm not sure of my site number... but I'm the feller with GT go-fast stripes and no chequer-plate so I shouldn't be too hard to find ;D

A bit too far down for me, I'm waiting for the Wauchope show I think in Augus.
Cheers Dave
-
Heading down on Fri, only 30 min drive for me, I'm in the market for a Soft floor CT, not new though, and see this as a good chance to take the wife along and explore wat sort of likes/dislikes she might have.

bugger............. just got back from WA/SA/Vic and the credit cards are totally bare.............and we need to replace some hillbilly gear we lost on the way
-
Intend on heading up there on Saturday,as it is an excuse for a bit of a drive and a day out and we are looking at our alternatives for a new camper trailer. As Gee Tee says, agree that it is one of the better shows going around.
-
Unless your in the market for a new camper or large purchase the $15 entry fee is a little too pricey for the small discount you get.
just my opinion

Here is all the info on the Hunter Valley Caravan Camping 4WD Fish & Boat Show 2013 (http://www.campingshow.com.au/cmsms/index.php?page=hunter-valley-2)
Wiggo, I'll catch you another time then mate ;)
I understand, it would be great if it was free entry like the Penrith Show. I used to think I should be in the show/field day business rather than exhibiting. This one promises to be a great show.

I'm hoping to get over at some stage on the weekend (lots of goodies and miscellaneous stuff to check out before our Simpson trip >:D)
I don't mind paying $15. I don't get out much...it'll be like a treat ;D
-
Yeah $15 bucks to spend a day surrounded by all things camping related to great trips away. Ill be there for sure !!!!!!!
-
See you there Kydar...
Or you could join Wiggo at the pub staring into the first of his three $5 schooners...
-
Better wear my gumboots ;D
-
It is looking that way. At least that will wash last weekends ash off my camper

It's where I might be if this rain doesn't stop! :'(
-
I would really appreciate someone having a peek at the Echo4x4 display if they have show pricing for the Kavango. Doing some medium term planning around replacing our Trak Shak.
Thanks
Adrian

It's a much more authentic experience shopping for camping gear in the rain and mud. Bring it on ;D

Lucky the kayak's on the roof!

Been there, done that in the mud... Na I will be staying away from this show until the organisers sort their Shit out and use a better venue that doesn't get so boggy if I happens to rain. Kudos to anyone who braves the mud and crap...
-
Is it a boating show also ;D

It has been a terrific day here today. A lot of work on the site has cleared or at least covered all that muck.
I've had a busy day, and I imagine it has been the same for the other exhibitors.
-
Great day up our end as well.
Ground has dried out pretty well across the show now.
-
Was hoping to get there but called in to work today and just told im back in tomorrow ....
-
Yeah we had a terrific day today. Lots of punters, which is always good. Still lots of mud around, but it seems to be drying out well. Bring on tomorrow!

Ditto They need to change the weekend as we have been many times and can only remember a couple fine days.

I caught up with Big Jules at the show, nice camper.
Great show I think better than Sydney ,more friendly and easier to move around.
Thanks for your time today Jules ,will follow up on the chargers.

We had a great day up there today. Ran into Jules at the track about display and finally managed to meet Nathan from Leisure Matters. Unlike the Sydney show we spent no money (well ok $20 on some leather conditioner, but that's all I swear!!)
