Hi everyone, just wondering what, if any, people use over the soft floor camper floor (not the annex) to protect it.
Cheers

When we had our camel soft floor we used the EVA foam matting that locks together like jigsaw pieces about 10mm thick. Nice to walk on and protected the flooring. We also used to put down a thick tarp on the ground before setting up to protect the underside of the camper floor.

To store them when not in use we used to put therm on top of the camper just before the cover was zipped on.

We never use to put anything under the soft floor but we always carry a rake to clear the sticks and stones from under it before folding the floor out, when we had the 4 x hire campers this is all we asked our clients to do and never had issues with holes in the soft floor..................hope that's of some help,
Cheers

When we had our soft floor, we carried a plastic grass rake to get all the sticks and twigs.
Then laid green 90% shade cloth down, this also helped with sand and crap not sticking as much to the vinyl floor area, which made it easier to clean when folding up at pack up time.
For the legs of the double bunks I had pieces of carpet that protected them from pushing hard against the floor, same for the bottom of the ladder.
This worked very well with three young kids at the time.
We never had a hole or a cut in the floor the time we had it.

When we had out TrakShak, we used shade cloth under the floor, and marine carpet on top.

Shade cloth underneath and if it is really cold then an old blanket goes down on the floor inside for a bit a warmth
-
Oz trail mesh matting under, pick nick rug over to walk on.

Shade cloth (double layer underneath) & the foam squares inside. 6yrs on & no damage to the Tracky floor. I also have a good look on the ground 1st.

Thanks for the hints everyone, we do have a big silver tarp for under the soft floor, and I wondered what people use inside the camper. The foam matting looks good.

Inside we use this blue carpet from Clark Rubber.
It comes in 2m width and buy by the metre. We paid $29.95 per metre.
It's about 3-4 mm thick and washable, blue in colour.
We just fold it up into two squares and it goes on the bed last thing before we pack up.

We use a large rug that has the silver coating under it, like the picnic rugs. Fits perfectly on the floor. I got it from Rays Outdoors. It cost about $35. It's great under foot as it's warm in winter and in summer stops sweaty feet sticking to the floor. Keeps the floor heaps cleaner too.

We use a piece of marine carpet. Tough as, keeps it warmer in cold weather and looks after the floor. Light, so just pick it up and store on top of the bed. Takes at least 30 seconds to fold up :-)
