Hi All,
I grew up caravanning and camping around South Africa and loved every minute!
We have been in Aus for 3 years now and have done a fair bit of tent camping up and down the NSW coast. Now that the kids are a bit older we are seriously looking at getting a camper and doing longer trips.
I am currently tossing up between a new, entry-level camper trailer (GIC, Market Direct etc) or a better quality second hand one (Trackabout??) or even looking at a secondhand pop-up trailer (Jayco Outback or similar). The biggest problem at the moment is that there are just too many options!! ???
I look forward to tapping into the wealth of knowledge and experience on this forum and cannot wait to get a camper to keep exploring this amazing country!

Welcome to my swag. You will be inundated with options.
My advice is a second hand trackabout if you want a soft floor camper. They have proved themselves in realiability. I used to hire them out for people heading to the Cape for 4 years.
Good luck in your decision.

Welcome to the tribe. Get a well known, proven make, second hand CT would be my advice. Look forward to reading of your adventures.
Happy camping

Welcome mate. first you need to settle on a budget (not telling you how to suck eggs), then you can target the campers in that price bracket.... I started out with an $8000 camper back in 2001 and now we have since upgraded a couple of times and have a Jayco now...

Hi and welcome
As said before you need a budget and what sort of trailer you would love to tow around this great place we live in.
So what are you thinking of?????
Second hand there are heaps out there, just make sure you go right over it and even put it up and down yourself before you settle on a price or deal.
Good luck in your search.
Oh and don't forget we love pics on here........

Hi Pdc0304
Welcome to our very large family, and enjoy your time with the forum.
Take your time and look around is all I can advise but I for one can vouch for the quality and reliability of a Trackabout. But before I bought my Trackabout I did do my homework and the Trackabout came up tops for my needs and wants.
cheers duggie

Welcome to MySwag :D
I have just bought a quality second hand (Outback Campers WA) unit from Gumtree. It's only been used about 5 times in about 14 months so is virtually new but HEAPS cheaper than a new one. They are out there... Good luck!!
