I'll take my chances. It's either them or death by itching ;D
We used to use the mozzie coils but now use the sandlewood sticks in the burner from Bunnings. Very effective.

Back in the 70's when I first started camping in the outback, smouldering cow dung did the trick.
Used to even light up a spaggetti tin filled with it in the shearers quarters near Wannarring where we used to stay.
Never got infected with malaria!!!

I didn't know my misses had been sleeping around ;D
I don't know how you blokes can be so rude about your wives.
I'm so glad my husband doesn't read this forum very often. I'd hate for him to pick up any terrible habits ::)
As for the mozzie coils, I think we just inhaled the equivalent of a year's worth of carcinogens in three days :-\
Vitamin B1 from your local discount health food store might do it for you. You don't smoke it, you swallow it. Apparently Kiwis swear by it. I used it in Ghana. I don't know if it worked but I only got bitten once AFAIK in the four weeks I was there. I don't know how it works. It may have something to do with BO. In any case, it's good for you.
Better than the tin citronella candels, got 2nd degree burns between my feet from one of those, had nothing to do with the fact I was 3/4 cut and tried to move it with my bare feet after it had burnt a hole in the plastic ground sheet. :cup:
to busy ROFLMAO at previous comments.....no chance for the mozzies ATM
I agree with the sandalwood sticks. They have a pleasant odour and do the trick. Might try my incense and see if that works on our next trip.

About $16 looks quite good and compact, the spike screws inside the diffuser when not in use, so nice and compact.
Refills are about $0.60 each
Will be throwing out the carcinogenic coils now.
