Don't normally consider camping at this time of year but getting pretty bored at home and have a pefectly good camper sitting on the driveway depreciating ; )
Anyone camping 3 or 4 hours North or South of Sydney at the moment can give a report on how busy it is? is there a place to squeeze one more CT in anywhere?
Cheers

Thanks Mate. Trouble is i'll be one of em :'(
I'm camping at the ruins in Booti Booti NP and now that the New Years crowd has left there is a lot more room
We're at Harrington. Looks like Soweto here! Packed in like sardines.
Nice though, but no spare spots.
We're now at Lake Ainslie, Lennox Head. Just manged to jag a cancellation this morning, have been ringing places up and down the coast; no vacancies until Friday and then the world is your oyster.
We were at Nimbin for two nights, much more civil than one might imagine although I was worried last night. Turned out there are no stayers in that town and all the party animals were out on a property somewhere in a drug induced coma no doubt.
jut got back fom Newnes.............. place was almost empty when i left
The first CP we rang today on the N.S.W south coast for a powered site said they had a a few vacancies. This park is also pet friendly and on the beach so the whole family are going for a couple of nights
We got back from Ferndale (Barrington Tops) earlier this week and it was getting pretty packed when we left.
We will be going again this weekend but are going to a private place that limits the number of bookings so hopefully won't be too crowded.
There were a few drop kicks at Ferndale who thought loud music late at night was a good idea, one guy even fired up his chainsaw about 9:00pm. Then there were the guys who thought they would have astereo contest playing their doof doof at top notch. They got screamed down pretty quick.
Bunyip
Quiet up here ;D

we visited that lake the other day for a swim, have been staying at South Ballina and whilst there's people about, it's not been full at any stage over xmas / new year period. with the fourby parked up on the beach the traffic has been pretty light also, not hard to get away from the crowds down there which has been good.
