For those people who have a Coleman hot water on demand system how do you fit the shower head whilst having a shower.
Like i said silly question
Paul
-
Say What ??? ;D
-
Get in the shower.
Lift up one hand.
Hold the shower head in that hand.
Have a shower.
Something like that?
-
I'd say fit the shower head before you start the showering process ;D ;D ;D
-
Thanks for all the wonderful answers now i know where i was going wrong!!. I shall have to try another way once again thanks
-
what is the issue you are having?
-
The wording is abit confusing but if you have the shower hose plug the end of it onto the wand that pulls out of the handle on the unit itself. But be very careful when going to shower as the water temp if you have the dial up to high is scalding
-
We find it a lot easier when we both do the shower. No, not like that.
One will control the Coleman while the other is having the shower. That way we use less water and one can control the temp. While the person having the shower is soaping up the controller holds the shower over the bucket.

I think the one thing missing with the coleman is a switch on the shower to turn on/off but hard with the water dial. We usually do as Kris and Kev do one works the dial whilst the other showers. Would be good to have something to hang the shower head to though when not wanting to hold it have seen a few things on here

yeah i didnt like that about it either so i rectified it. i bought a 3 way valve and ran a clear piece of hose back down the supply line back into the water container. i simply leave the unit on once i have started it and turn the valve to recirculate. soap up and turn the valve back to rinse off.

I made my own out a $5.00 universal head holder, a plastic dogs bed, a hose clamp, two bits of bracket steel and a tent pole.

When we travel, the Honda gennie rides in the dog bed too.

gotta be a bugga to lay down to shower but 8)
-
Wife loves it, but she use to be pole dancer and ping pong champion.

I use three items, 1 coleman hot water system, 1 bucket and 1 12 volt shower, as I love a private shower, and also when washing my hair the ability to turn shower on, wet down, turn shower off soap up, turn shower on wash off and then turn shower off and condition my hair and then turn shower on and rinse out, I normally use between 2 and 4 litres of water using this method.
Also means that I dont scare other campers away with my naked body standing next to the coleman hot water system ;)
and before some smartarse asks No No Photos :P
Cheers,
Pat

I found the answer to our problem regarding having a shower .
if you go to 4x4 equip there is a pole/light stand for between $40 - $60 the latter is the better deal because you get a free bag with it, it is adjustable to what ever height you want.
so thanks again for all your help, sorry for being a bit short on mt earlier reply

Hi do you happen to have pics of this and does it affect the way the unit operates?

gday mate. don't have any pics but it has absolutely no effect on the way the unit runs. it simply returns the water to the water source( recirculates it). the water coming back up to the shower head is slightly warmer after it has been recirculated because it has already been warmed up. just saves having to turn the unit on & off when you are showering that's all.

Hope I can add another silly question to the silly question thread. We were always under the impression that the pump on the HWOD unit was not submersible but in the video he just drops it in the container. Anyone have any info on using them this way. Looks good with the 3 way valve
