Can anyone tell me if the new 70 series dual cab ute has child restraints in the rear and are they like the wagon with different size axles?

I spoke to Toyota about this, they come with two standard but can be fitted with a 3rd if required.

I looked in/under the back seat area could not see anything that resembled a mounting point and neither could dealer.
Reason being that the wagons mounting points where on the ceiling.
Unless you are after the dual cab recommend the base 200 for the same price or less if you shop around as Toyota aren't budging on the utes price.

That's strange mate because I went in there with that being my first question. The dealer went over and ask one of the other sales guys and he came over very confident that they have fitted them and even added the 3rd one in for a customer. It was Windsor Toyota nsw if you want to give them a call. Not that I hung around around to discuss prices but they also said that they would do me a deal when it was time to talk.
Sorry if they don't have these point but it was what I was told and I had 3 kids with me

I found Windsor Toyota great bent over backwards to help never told furfys unlike Narellan Toyota where sales manager spoke to me and said I could test drive the one I had got down there and was told cannot drive it unless I am willing to sign paperwork- I wanted to see how loud they are on the road.....so for S***s and giggles I wasted their time and took a wagon for a drive. then had a salesman ring me back and ask if I was ready to buy from them them and well lets say I told them what I thought of their business............
getting very close to hitting up Windsor for best price on a 200 after some indepth reading on lcool

Chief Carlos, you won't regret it. Have had a 200 series for just on 3 months, and my father has had a 76series GXL for about 15 months > there is no comparison. The 76/78/79 vehicles are just way overpriced for what they offer. Admittedly the 200's are poor compared to Disco4 for eg, but eat better than the 70's. Loud, rough riding, cramped, but the absolute killer is the ridiculously low gearing for anything other than hard core off road use. Don't get me wrong, they are a weapon for that purpose and if could afford to own 2 vehicles then get one. But for the majority of people who have limited parking/garage space (not to mention finances) then a compromise car is the only choice. The 200 is so much better, having had the chance to drive both back to back over extensive km's, that I wonder why anyone would choose a 70 over a 200GX. Ute: fair enuff, but not wagon.

I would have thought child restraint anchor points would be in the ADR's as mandatory equipment???

Only for passenger vehicles, commercials no. Land rover Defender has none for that reason.

I dont know why anyone would compare a 76 to a 200 series.
They are 2 totally different vehicles for 2 different intended markets..

I dont know Lost, before I bought my GX 200 Landcruiser I was seriously looking at GXL 76 series. If I was still looking, the dual cab 76 would have definitely been on my radar.
In the end I went with the 200, because it was insignificantly more expensive and came with a lot more refinement and comfort. Plus it has a twin turbo V8!!!
My requirements were simple, I wanted a vehicle that was a capable 4WD and I didnt want too many features that were unnecessary. I wanted a Toyota, for their name and for their proven resale values.

Great stuff they were very helpful the day I was there. I drove past castle hill toyota yesterday and they have a dual cab out the front if your looking to test drive it( if they let you)

If I only had the time before Christmas I would! but most dealers don't wont you test driving them because they are then not new
anyway I am looking cause the outlaws in their 200 over took us in the 105 with us having 1.5t behind and them having 3t going up hills
