we've been to 2 weddings held at Mt. Barney Lodge, there's houses there for the girls to get ready in and older family members to stay in, aswell as a campground for the general punters. only downside is driving home Sunday arvo still hung over, so maybe stay the extra night to recover...lol

Rod,

You can get married just about anywhere, but it's where you hold the "reception" and end up with your new bride that really matters.

If you are planning to camp in ye ole camper trailer, why not have a mate set it up for you onsite ... and there are so many great places to set up a camper trailer!  I guess it depends on what you like for a back drop.

Murphy's Creek / Gordon Country / Yandilla / Cobb & Co 9 Mile / Numinbah Valley / Canungra Show grounds / Spring Gully Stays / Kenilworth Homestead ... if you like the country.
Bribie / Straddie / Moreton ... if you like the beach.
Springbrook / Green Mountain / Charlie Moreland ... if you like rainforest/forest.

I think Murphy's Creek now have luxury te.ts available too for something extra special. Also is a top spot for weddings.

Marriage is like a deck of cards.

Starts off with hearts and diamonds,

Ends up with a club and a spade.........

Hi,
Mother in Law was horrified that I was taking her eldest daughter on a motor bike for her honeymoon and we were going to sleep in a small hike tent for 3 weeks!

Took her away last weekend too, but now we have a bit more comfort, after 41 years and 10 months, she deserves it.

cheers

Marriage..

she gets it all
when she throws you out of your house
that you pay for

We got married on the startline at Willowbank Raceway back in 98.

The wife had relo's out from Norway for it too. They still think i'm strange......
We made the channel 7 news on the Sunday night and we were featured on channel 9's show, Extra on the Monday.

The chick that covered it back then is now a reporter on 7 in the mornings, Michelle something.

Went off really well too.....  8)

Do what I do.

Live in sin with 3 kids and a mortgage.  Same same, but different!

Getting married would have meant spending our camper money on a wedding and all my mates paying me back for the horrible things I've done to them on the bucks do, plus the night before the wedding.

We had a surprise wedding.  Everyone thought they were coming to my 21st, but got a shock when I turned up in a wedding dress lol  Best way to do it.  Took 7 weeks to plan (Vic and my old man pissed and we were joking around about having a surprise wedding), very little stress, relo's thought it was great, and a fantastic night was had by all.  I was up the duff, so for a while there the boys thought it would be hilarious to show up with shotguns etc and have a 'shot gun wedding', I'm pretty casual, but even I got worried about that one.  I told them I'd agree to it, if they found it funny when sober the next morning......luckily they didn't find it as funny lol  Good thing with everyone offering to bring a plate for my 'birthday', we really only had to throw in a few extra salads, pig for the spit, meat for the BBQ, and some alchamahol and all good!  Slept in the swag for our wedding night because we had a house full of family including a nephew that suffered from night terrors FFS
Do it quick is my advice, don't spend months planning, as long as you're both there, that's the main thing, all the rest will fall in to place.
Congratulations mate!
