Post by: fuji on October 19, 2012, 07:42:01 PM: Hello everyone my username is fuji, some of you know me as wyno/donuts. I have had a name change and I will explain why.
20 odd years ago when I was a young constable (34) I was posted to a eastern Melbourne police station. An old fart of a Senior Constable approached me and said " you're a plateface aren't you"? For those that don't know what plateface means I will explain. Some Asian people have a very flat face and many many years ago they (the Asians) were called plateface. This didn't worry me as I just copped it on the chin especially when I was a kid in a new country i really copped it. I explained to the senior connie that I was half Japanese. "Ahhh fujisan, I'm going to call you fuji from now on as in Mount Fuji" He said. So after all those years my pseudonym has been just that (fuji) and only a handful of people call me Wayne including SWMBO. So no more name changes and thank you to the mod who agreed to the name change. So to all of fellow swaggers, you can call me anything you want.Thanks one and all. :cheers:
