I know this subject has been done to death but I need some information on putting in a Auxillary battery to mainly run a 60l Engel while driving and camped up for a day or so..
1. How hard is a DIY setup to connect up a aux battery.?
2. Is there a specific isolator that won't cost the earth to put in.
3. Been told 6B&S cable is a must.
4. Can I get away with a sealed wet cell battery or again one that won't cost the earth but will also give good service.
5. I currently have a 6mm wiring set up with Anderson plug to the back of the tug to run a caravan (done by the dealer) battery and it will also be running a 80amp calcium marine battery that is being installed in a new camper trailer. Will this effect how the Aux battery runs in the car. I should mention that the current cable doesn't have any isolator on it.
6. is it possible to run the caravan/camper wiring thru theaux battery isolator?
Trust someone can answer the above.
Must mention that I am prepared to tackle most things with a little knowledge but leave the big stuff to those who know all.

I don't think you need 6B&S under the bonnet to your Aux battery in the Paj. The distance between the batteries is not far enough to worry about using 6B&S. But there is no reason not to use 6B&S.
The cable size to your Anderson connector at the rear end needs to be bigger than the 6mm installed because of the distance and current draw - due to voltage losses. No probs with 6B&S here. It will depend on the current draw in the CT or CVan, but to be safe, go 6B&S even though you can use slightly smaller cable size (not really worth it. I couldn't run decent size cable inside the Paj to the rear - needs to be under the body and kept away from hot spots and protected by flexible conduit).

I got twin runs of 6b&s down the back and to the towbar by going through the firewall and inside. It is doable on the NS/NT series.
