Title: Fridge slides ???
Post by: qlddsl on June 22, 2012, 07:23:23 AM
Hi all, I'm in the process of revamping the cargo/drawer system for the wagon. There will be a fridge slide for the new 60ltr engel and a drawer at a later date to replace the boxes currently in use. Has anyone purchased/used runners from.

If so what are your thoughts on them, any problems with the units or supply??

Cheers Wayne

Cannot help there. Was going to make my own draws for the Prado then found I could buy them from Driffa for a good price. Just waiting for them to be made. Also a good price on a drop down fridge slide.

I have similar slides, they rattle like buggery. You will need to add some form of slide lock as well.Might be worth the money to buy better with slide lock and no rattle.

I'm impressed with the simplcity, durability and quality of

Made in Oz and unlike some I have installed/tested, have survived 40,000+ kays plu everything else I've dished up - including being airborne (!) - in my GT Camper

I contacted these guys the other week and they did call me which was good.   I also contacted drawslide.com.au and they were very helpful.  Worth a call as they have all sorts of options.

I've got stuff from both. Ovesco is better value. I have a set of over extension 100kg Hafele 600mm long over extension drawer runners surplus to requirements now I have a drop slide. Send me a PM if you could use them.

Thanks for the offer, but I need them 100cm long, looked at ovesco but to get the weight rating I need the 227kg units and can't justify the dollars. Ordered the ones from peregrine, hope they do the job.

You should be happy, a mate who is Cabinet Maker used them on his sons rear draws and recons that they are better than anything else for the price.

Got the slides on Friday and I'm very happy with them. Made from good heavy galvanised steel, steel roller bearings. Basic design and might rattle when empty, but don't plan on it being empty
