Hi, anyone been on the Oodnadatta track in the last few weeks? Any comments on recent road conditions would be great. Thanks.
We are stopped off at Port Augusta and heading up to the Oodnadatta on Monday. Towing a Jayco Flamingo Outback with a Hilux.

If you call the Pink Roadhouse at Oodnadatta they are very helpful with advice on the latest track conditions.
Safe travels :D

Will call Pink Roadhouse and have looked at their www page. Would be great though to hear from someone who has been through recently as well

Sorry, not since '86, when we towed our Sunwagon across there to Marree and then up to Birdsville ;D ;D

unless the track has just been reopened or about to close from rainfall, the "track" is quite a nice reasonably well maintened dirt road that i wouldn't have a problem driving my grandmas Datsun 180b along it,
a lot of the "deeper" creeks have cement culverts over them these days,
you will not have a problem with your setup, but as per always, drive to the conditions

Hi Newmax, I'm at Coober Pedy and it is full on tourists now, while I haven't been to William Creek for a while etc, I have not heard of any issues with the oodna track - we haven't had any rain this way for a while now, it will be fine, I'm sure you won't be needing to go flat out anyway, just enjoy it at an appropriate speed.
