Hi all,
Another solar panel question but wondering if anyone has purchased or looked into these at all and what they think of them. I am looking at getting panels for the Ultimate when I finally get it.

Any feedback will be appreciated.
I want to be self sufficient and stationary for up to 2 weeks at some locations in North Oz from July running 2 x95ah batteries, a 80lt Uprite and some Led lights. I will have another fridge freezer, possibly 80 or 110lt in car that will mostly be used for freezing.
Thanks all and hope all is well.
Cheers,
Mayney.

Talk to mandrake. Always good to suport a fellow swager. I have his folding panels and have been very happy with them.

The one thing missing is a value of output..based on their blurb--my 160 kit has nearly 9 amps but for the easier maths lets say 8.
So theirs is upto 50% more..thats 12 amps add in 20% for the MPPT thats around 15amps..If that is guaranteed then make your bid.But it does seem too good to be true.
But then i am biassed .
Cheers
Steve.

Hey there, I just got a 200w solar panel from mandrake and it was the same size as his 160w folding.
He is a great guy, really friendly and can help you out...I was really happy:))

Mayney,
It reads like total rubbish to me :'(
But hell it sure does LOOK GOOD ;D
with the name "Bosch" I would have expected much higher performance specifications numbers from the panel

It appears not to have any cables, so you are looking to spend more on 10m of cable and connectors. So you are pushing $500.
There are plenty of ads on eBay for 120W panels c/w controller and cables for well under $300. While the controllers are not a MPPT type, they do claim to be the latest mono crystalline panels. I am on the market for a 120W panel to supplement my 80W supplied with the camper.
If anyone here purchased one of those el cheapo eBay jobs, I'd like to hear what they think.
