Yes folks, like Tjupurula, I have signed on the dotted line for a new Workmate Wagon GXL. They are going to build as there are none available. And they are fitting a rear diff locker. Three months but not in any hurry. Now I just have to find a CT

Hi Wayne
There is a fairly big difference, as mine is a tray back, but still a Work Mate.
When you eventually come over we'll go to a couple of decent camp spots, and get into some bush tucker.
Travel well and enjoy your new truck my friend.
Regards
Tjupurula

Well done, now the fun part, picking the fruit to fit :)

Oh yeah, bring it on!! New tyres, suspension lift, rock sliders, bull bar, winch, drawers. S#%t, I dont have any money left. Now I have to sell the Prado to pay for all the above. ;D
-
Nice one. I've been thinking about getting a 70 series myself.
-
And me. My 100 series will be 9 years old in July and the day will come that getting a replacement will become a task for tomorrow. 200 series has too much electronics for my taste, too many things to go wrong (not to mention 100K price tag).
Is it a wagon that you have chosen?
Best of luck with it, will be watching closely your reports :D
Cheers
Peter

Our 76 workmate is on nav4 video of Levuka in the trips section, can only imagine what differance a locker would have made.
We are upgrading at the end of the year to a GXL. Is your heading a typo?

Donuts
:worthles:
Yes we know what they look like but we love to follow the journey with you

Good stuff donuts, if your getting a rear locker, why not a front as well while you can, front and rear factory electric lockers make them almost unstopable.

It is a Workmate GXL Wagon and will be white in colour or I should say French Vanilla. 4 versions are available. Troopy, Troopy GXL, Workmate and Workmate GXL in the wagon range. I didn't get the front locker because it was an extra 2500. I don't think I will need it. I will have a winch fot those hard bits.I had to buy it in the country (2 hours from Melbourne) as it was 5-6 grand cheaper. Go figure. Sorry no photos because I have no idea how to upload onto the ipad. I would like the Troopy but they are narrower and taller and have only limited room in the carport. Now to price some barwork. My next topic will be which winch to buy. I will have a 02 Prado for sale soon with the works and only 104k on the clock :Donuts

does the size of the fuel tank worry you?
the GXL look pretty nice. will make a great tourer.
if you dont mind, how much do they sting you for a rear locker? if the front is 2500?
-
Front and rear would have been 5000 so I opted for just the rear. Fuel tank is only 90 litres so if I can get another 90 and there is room like the troopy, that is the way I will go. If not I will get a long ranger around the 160 litre. Hoping to anyway. :D
