Just bought a new car and it started a funny noise today.
When stopping not on brake but a hill or something you car hear like a winding down noise.
Its a series 6 narava St
Been very happy so far.
Only thing I did was move a simple box trailer from the front to back yards and it seems to have happened after that.
Any thoughts?

Does it have the auto hill brake control thingo that stops it rolling back when on a hill. My work x trail has this and the first time it did it and made a few noises I didnt know what was going on.

Turbo winding down ???
OR
Centrefuge filter (spinning secondary filter) these filters can make a werring noise as they slow down, check to see if the new Navara engine has a centrefuge filter.

Take it back, tell em its no good.
Get your money back.
Buy an old car, the squeaks and rattles are normal and at least then you know everything is working if its making noise.
I wouldnt put up with it.
