Title: hubodometers
Post by: Wortho on April 20, 2012, 10:43:44 PM
How are people keeping track of the distance covered whilst towing the trailer? we started a log book but keep forgetting about it. Main reason is for wheel bearing and electric brake maintenance.

Thought about fitting a hub odometer like you see on trucks but not seen anything in Oz?

Something similar to this in KM would be good http://www.mikiel.net/blog/?p=639 (http://www.mikiel.net/blog/?p=639)

its probably just as easy to service and check brgs and brakes as required depending on what trips u are doing i always check bearing adjustment before every trip but if the trailer spends some time being draged thru mud and water once i get home the hubs come off what price a bit of grease for the sake of peace of mind

The only place/supplier I could find Wortho was Veederline (http://veederline.com.au/manufacturer/veeder-root-controls/veeder-root-hubodometers/)

I would just do them when the rego renewal papers arrive unless its had a hard time during the year.
