Title: Cub-to-be (Daintree?) and fridge
Post by: Peter8 on April 09, 2012, 11:02:24 PM
Hi,
We are getting close to ordering (or sourcing here a used one here :-*) a Daintree Cub with the all the specs of the Brumby but not needing the extra suspension. If I go for the biggest fridge box which is the best fridge that fits? I have been reading all the data here which is great, but am a bit confused about the quality of some, and need to fit in a hole 380 wide?
Thanks in anticipation,
Peter

WAECO 50L fits perfectly and is the biggest size that will fit. Trust me, we had all the various fridges sized up. At the recent 4wd camping show we utised the CUB brumby on the show room floor and tried every make. (about 5 in total) the WAECO 50l is the biggest that will fit without scraping .

Hi Peter8,

The ARB 47L fridge is a perfect fit for the Cub fridge box, I can recommend the ARB fridge, there are a number of smart features lacking in other brands, a well thought out fridge design. I have done a number of modifications to my Cub fridge box

Check my Cub Escape thread

Hi Peter, don't want to hijack this thread but, we have a one year old CUB Brumby now for sale.  I realise you say you don't want the upgraded (heavy duty suspension).  If you might be interested PM me and I can send more details/photos etc.

cheers
