Hi there
My name is Jono (if you didn't guess from my username), live in Adelaide been camping for years but only recently sold my boat and bought a camper trailer instead. SHMBO and I decided that we would get more use out of a camper as we have a young family (2 1/2 and one on the way).
I'm a keen fisho and Spearfisho and an even keener camper!
Finding plenty of great info on here and look forward to contributing!!

We managed to pick up a challenge camper deluxe offroad second hand for a good price, all Australian made with battery system and water tanks, gas bottles and tailgate kitchen for $8000. Tested it out for the first time at second valley a couple of weekends ago and are both extremely happy with it. So much better than having a air mattress going down on you through the night and getting a sore back from bending over in the tent all the time.
Next camping trip is in a couple of weeks at easter, we are staying at Innes National Park for 7 days!!

Hey Jonno,
We ( Being my family and I) just of last week got back from the Innes National Park on York Peninsula, Camped at Sten House Bay Campground, Lots of space and Large sights. Awesome Jetty Fishing. Great short walks.
Depending on how big your set up is a place called Shell Beach Camp ground is definately worth the look also.. We did it in a Jayco OB hawk and had plenty of room. Short walk to the most spectacular Beach.. (No weed last week).
Enjoy your weekend, Wherever you go Hope the weather is kind to you.
Cheers Woody

Hi mate
We were planning on staying at stenhouse bay, interested in shelly beach, what sort of amenities are there (ie are their toilets and BBQ's, we know there's no showers!)
Cheers
-
Hello Jono,
No amenities at Shell beach apart from toilets.
Cheers, Marschy

Hi Folks
Another from Adelaide here as well :)
-
recently sold my boat and bought a camper trailer instead. SHMBO and I decided that we would get more use out of a camper
Just did the same thing in April last year. The boat got used about once or twice a year or not at all. The camper has already been put to more use in the last year than the boat got in the last five years.
Plus as I get older, the prospect of a weekend of water skiing followed by three days recovering doesn't appeal to me anymore , and I think my board shorts may have shrunk as they were getting pretty tight and I didn't have anything else to wear.
It's also easier to convince my wife to go camping than to go skiing.
Cheers Marschy
Edit: Check out Cassowary, a lot more spacious sites than Shell or Browns Beach and sheltered from the wind.

Welcome from another SA member.
Innes is a very nice NP, good scenery, good fishing, good beach, good surfing, and most of all there a PUB inside the national park, awesome.
I assume that must be your logic with staying at Stenhouse Bay?
