Title: Freight costs for Jayco Dove
Post by: DnS on March 06, 2012, 04:57:50 PM
Hi All, does anyone know who might freight a caravan to WA from SA?  I've had what I think is a genuine enquiry for our van, but the potential buyer has asked us to check freight costs, and who might do this.   For anyone in the trucking business, the van weighs 1045 kg, is 17 ft long including the draw bar and would have to go either to Perth or where the buyer lives, Kununurra.  Would be grateful for any ideas here.
Cheers
DnS

give the buyer all the info on size and weight and tell him to find out him self than you will find out if it is the real deal or not and if they ask about paypal walk away

Thanks Rusty.  We are feeling quite unsure about this;  first she offered a sum of money and said she would have to add freight costs.  When we accepted her offer, she now tells us this includes the freight costs which we will have to pay.  I think we'll hang onto the van! Cheers, DnS.  PS:  won't use PayPal at all - have seen others been quite badly bitten.

Most cars go via rail across the Nullabor - mine did from Vic about 12 years ago for about $2000.

But I would be walking away - you buy a camper/car/motorbike from another state it is your responsibility to decide how you will move it across.
