I'm sure there is a message there.

Hi Estelle
There is a : missing in your link (http:\\) It goes to a dead link.
I heard tonight on the news that Apple sold more iphones than they anticipated this year so far. I still don't get the attraction to Apple even though I own an ipod. It's not anything special.

as an iphone user I think they are truly spectacular when compared to what was available just 10 years ago, maybe even just 5 years ago.
I remember I was in business back back in the mid '80s when telstra introduced the first truly 'portable' phone, it weighed about 14 kilograms with a 45cm handset and cost about $5,000 in real $$ in those days. Phone coverage was limited to the greater Melbourne area and the '80s phone could store just 16 numbers, was hard installed into the car and alerted driver of an incoming call with a honking horn or flashing headlights.
It had a cable connecting the handset to the huge black box and it sat between the 2 front seats because it was too heavy to be mounted under the dash.
It was fondly called the 'brick' as it was so bloody heavy you did not want to make long calls on it.
I only had it till the first truly portable phone come out.
I'm sure it was next used by a sailor as a boat anchor ;D

Hi Mainey
Yeah I had one of them too and technology has leaped ahead by heaps. Just today I have been notified of this (Samsung Galaxy S3 Coming In April, Quad-Core 12MP & More). I have trialled heaps of different handsets in my job as an IT and Telecom geek (Windows, Android and Apple) and as I said before the iphone is nothing special, it just has lots of followers and wannabes. Android is just as good depending on the handset but Windows 7.5 as an OS is still catching up. But watch this space!

I'm currently looking at updating to a smartphone and am tossing between the Samsung Galaxy S2 and iPhone4S. I acknowledge the Samsung is the better phone but as a high school teacher I'm hoping to use some apps in my Year 12 PE class and nearly EVERY student has an iPhone so I think I'm forced to go this way. What do you reckon?
Mark.

check the a android market and see if the apps that you want to use is there....I have a Samsung galaxy 2 and love it although battery life is crap But that's normal with phones these days.
I use runkeeper to keep track of my jogging and cycling and having issues with the GPS not being available. Don't know if it's the phone or app yet...about to try another app tomorrow which has been my only issue with the phone
