Has anyone got a Tigerz11 roof rack? What do you think? Quality, value etc??
I' looking at getting a full length 220mm alloy rack for my Discovery 1.
I like the idea of the rack only weighing 20kg vs 50kg for the steel rack, and for $690 they seem good value.
Any opinions would be good.

Gee they look good. Keen to hear about it.

I bought the steel version direct off the manufacturer in China and turned it into a touring rack for my RTT. My initial thoughts were that the wall thickness of the steel was very thin, but it has stood the test of time so far.
It is light. It has been loaded to the hilt and driven through some of the roughest roads in the centre of Australia, it has had many loads of wood thrown on it and while the mesh is getting a bit bent from my abuse, the thing is going great guns.
I know this may not help you with the alloy version but if the quality is 'good enough' on the steel version then i see no reason why the alloy one wouldnt be the same.

Hey Kalex,
Jono on the PCOA forums has just fitted one of these http://www.tigerz11.com.au/tentrack.html (http://www.tigerz11.com.au/tentrack.html) (along with a Tigerz11 RTT) to his Pathy. From what I understand, he's pretty happy with it. Not sure if his is steel or alloy though? If you're after a general opinion, it might be worth getting in touch with him.
EDIT - would help if I included the link, D'Oh! Here you go : http://pcoa.org.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=6934&start=15 (http://pcoa.org.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=6934&start=15)
Good luck!
Matto :)
