Ok, so I went Waeco Hunting today ;D
I am looking at a CF40 to be used primarily as a freezer, and a CF60 to be used as a fridge.
Prices were: CF40 $900 and CF60 $1100
Salesman spoke of doing a deal on bags, not sure what he means by that in terms of price.
Just wondering peoples thoughts on the prices....have considered Engel, but worried about dinting etc. I see ARB do fridges, should I look that way instead of Waeco???? Sorry I am a newbie, my ears are on and I am listening to everyone
Thanks,
Chris

DHD, thanks for the reply. Had never thought of Hardly Normals...are the products Waeco or ripoff waecos?
I have seen fridge/freezers that the same company who make Techni Ice sell. My only concern is that it draws more than the waeco.
Im only a newbie, but happy to listen to everyones opinion and thoughts, suggestions

$837 here but I'm sure you will get for less towards end of month

I'm pretty sure HN sell genuine Waeco gear

I think the CDF 45 (the $550 one from HNs) and the CF 40 etc are a different type of fridge. The CF 40 has the danfoss compressor but I dont think the CDF 45 one does.
I have a 25 year old engle, so don't consider myself an expert, only good on the Googles. Maybe one of the Waeco owner will have more of a clue than I about the different.
Cheers

We bought the Waeco 50L Dual Zone (3 compartments- 1 freezer- 1 fridge- 1 crisper) all at the same time. Cost $1050.
Powered only by 120W solar panel, and is perfect for me and swmbo. Spent 4 days in the Flinders last October and it worked perfectly.
By the way, the dividers slide out to make a 2 or a 1 compartment fridge.

Waeco seconds have a 40ACVERB for $729 and 60 for $1000 on there site, its worth a look. I recently bought a 40 from that site and it was a new unit, not a repair, it was a promotional unit they were getting rid of the leftover stock for $570. Its red and dark grey, but still works the same

Do not discount EvaKool, great fridges.(0nly)

Hey mate, I bought a Engel from Anaconda at 25% off recently.. I also bought a transit bag which will protect it from damage (I hope), just need to take care... The reason why I bought the engel is that I had a Waeco that I bought in 2002 and I wasn't happy with it.
If you can wait for the % off sales go to either Anaconda or Rays Outdoors to get a real bargain either way you go.
Regards.
Scott

Thanks for the help guys.
Does anyone know if the waeco shop on the gold coast (not factory seconds) haggle on price?
So far best pricing on waecos is at my local rays outdoors.
