Hi everyone! I discovered this website after a post off the Perth 4X4 website and what a gem of a forum this is! My story in a nutshell - I am a single mum of two Primary school kids and I spent what felt like my entire childhood camping in one form or another with my parents. They progressed from tents, to an early Jayco Dove, to a Kimberley Kamper (still my all-time favourite) and they also own a Roadstar Caravan. My ex and I bought a Box'n'Dice camper mid last year, but only managed to take it out twice before we separated. In the fall out, he got both the camper and my pride and joy (my GUIV Patrol) so I'm starting from scratch. I have a Forester and about $10K total to spend on a camper. Ideally I'd like a hard-floor flip out (the soft floors are too heavy for me to pack up on my own). So my question is, what is out there? What should I be looking out for and what or who should I avoid? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. It's great to meet you!
Cheers!

Welcome to the swag Idesy, Mandrake is about to pickup his hard floor that is in your price range.
Other than that, I don't know of any hard floors around that price.

Thanks guys! Nice of you all to say hi.
Sol - Nth Queensland is where I was born and bred. There aren't too many creeks, rivers, dams, waterholes and puddles I don't know about. Be kinda interesting if you have found a few new ones though!! :)
Would love to find out about some good places in the SE corner of WA. I haven't been here too long and most folks seem to hold the directions to some great places pretty close to their chests!
Hope y'all are out enjoying the long weekend with your rigs and trailers. I'm insanely jealous!! hahaha

Hi Idesy,
There are some softfloors that are ok to pack up on your own, usually the smaller tents (8 - 10 ft). Will probably be easier to find something in your price range in softfloor. Good luck getting something that suits you and helps you to get out a bit more.
