Hi all,
For those out there that have a BCF store nearby, 9kg gas bottle refills are $17-95 for BCF members (free to join).
Not sure for how long or whether it applies to certain areas but that's what I paid today in Cairns. It's cheap for up here (normally $28 odd)

My local BP is $16 for a re-fill.
I have seen the swap and go's for $50! :o

theres only 2-3 places around this whole area that refill anymore.. :(
one is a dodgey lookin "corner store" in a side street.. $20ish for a fill... but at least they fill it still
-
Thanks
got one to fill.
I don't use much gas but last time I think was $28 - if anyone knows a good place in Port Macquarie that has permanent reasonable price I am listening carefully?

Just filled up 2 x 9kg at BCF in Mackay yesterday and it was ~$56 after giving them my member card >:(
Must be Cairns only.
I have to say though that I got 1 up on BCF a couple of months ago. Bought a new 9kg cylinder from them and got them to fill it. Charged me $26 which I thought was odd. Once I had it in the car I sent the young fella in to find out the price and they didn't charge me for the cylinder ;D I put it down to being a member.
Regards
David

Go to the tip & grab all the 9KG bottles you can , mostly out of date but 1/2 full or better . Use em & louse em . Havent had to pay for gas for years ;D ;D

Rays Outdoors Rothwell 9kg $18.50 club members or $19.95 for non members. Good value I think since everyone else around me is min $28.
-
Local BP in Penrith NSW - $15.99. Been at those prices since January 2011.
BCF's 100 meters away are now matching BP's price.
