G'day, there is a caravan park there, ph 08 8975 0788, unpowered sites from $5.50 a night. It's an aboriginal community, so there will be alcohol restrictions. I don't think there's really any reason to stay though unless you have to!

I agree with Yoda.  I stopped for fuel there once.  I was third in a queue of about 10 at 9.30 a.m. in the morning and the place wasn't open.  They really take their time getting out of bed there.  Don't stop there; go straight through it.

lived there for a few years back and would agree with above. caravan park and a shop that opens whenever people turn up for work, cant drink grog and wont be able to get any sort of decent food.

top springs might be better for an overnight, its not a community so you wont have the noise and you can have a beer there.

Careful though, Top Springs has the most disgusting public toilets in the known universe!

If you're in the area and have time, there's a camp spot in Gregory NP called Jasper Gorge. The afternoon sun on the rocks is stunning!
