Title: Sturts desert pea banned
Post by: Wortho on March 20, 2011, 07:44:05 AM
http://www.news.com.au/national/law-proposal-claims-sturts-desert-pea-as-dangerous-as-marijuana/story-e6frfkvr-1226024703494
First thoughts were is it April 1st today!
SOUTH Australia's floral emblem - Sturt's Desert Pea - will join marijuana on a banned list of plants under a proposed change to a Federal Government law.

My Wife has successfully grown them from seed in Sydney. Must admit I never thought of rolling one up  ;D

You could shelf a couple mate. Easier on the lungs and they say everything works better when you shelf it.

Let us know how you go when out west.

Just another fine example of taxpayer money being wasted and our civil rights being diminished even further through someone trying to justify their position >:( >:( >:(

We have totally lost the plot in this nanny country.

Won't somebody please think of the children??

We have lost the plot, sugar cane and potatoes will soon join the prohibited list, because you can use them to produce alcohol - prohibition is just around the corner people!

Probably not unexpected when you consider we eat one of the animals on our national emblem.

I also read the Wattle should be on that list  ???

The department for every thing has said that they have no plan to ban them but will now be keeping and eye on the sale of them in large numbers.

I remember in Christchurch NZ when I was young there was a round about that was planted with poppies. Once a year all the plants would be stolen, obviously thought they could make some Opium... ;D Now where did I put that Bong

Although I've never seen a native pee, I think the only decent thing to do would be to avert your eyes and turn your back until they're finished!!!!!!!

Your freaking kidding me?  Right I'm out to buy me some baby plants at my earliest convenience.  Not for smoking ... who'd do that really? ... but because they are a National Icon ... and beautiful!

Why don't they attempt to GET RID OF LANTANA?

Just my views ...
