We recently used our Companion AquaCube for the first time. We're very happy with it.

We have a Coleman Hot Water on Demand but didn't buy the shower hose etc. We just hook it up to a gas bottle in the kitchen so it can be used for the washing up water also. For the shower we just fill a bucket with warm water from the Coleman and take it to the shower tent to use with a 12v shower. That way the Coleman doesn't have to be moved around and I also find it easier to get the water the right temp this way. I got my 12 volt shower from Jaycar - I think it was $20, has a really long cord and the pressure is pretty good too.

We ahve had a couple of the $20 cheapies from BCF and Rays. Find that at teh most inconvenient time the motor seizes. We generally use river water for showers and the tiny impurities get in to the motor and seize it. The second one we bought we used a stocking as a filter and it still died. There is a thread here somewhere about using a bilge pump so we followed that idea and used the shower handset we already had and have had no issues since. Cost about $50 all up i think but now have excellent pressure and it has been reliable for probably a couple of years now.

I am with Fivid. I have a Rule bilge pump attached to a bit of hot water hose from a car, and a shower rose from Supercheap. Just warm the water over the fire, put it into a bucket, drop the bilge pump into the bucket, plug it into a jumpstarter and away you go. I think originally Stevo might have been the brainstorm here. It is great. I think the cost was about 50 bucks including the hose and fittings.

We bought the Kimberley diesel hot water system and the camper trailer came with it. ;D

We have a coleman gas hot water unit, does a great job.

Tip for anyone using river or lake water- get a baby sock as a filter for the intake otherwise the shower rose will clog up.
The foam filters in the cheapie pumps arent worth jack.

I use an orange juice bottle with holes drilled in it then covered with on of the wifes stockings. That works well as well

We use a Piranah Power showers under the bonnet of the car.

Our Aquacube2 works well, much better than the old Primus unit we had.
