Title: Hi from a new jayco owner
Post by: huggy on January 28, 2011, 04:29:52 PM
Hi there , I'm huggy. I have been looking around this great site for awhile now ,  i have just sold my soft floor camper to buy a new jayco outback swan . It has roof racks gas/electric hot water full jayco awnings , 2 x 81l water tanks . It is towed by an 05 glx petrol/gas Prado that i have lifted 2 inches, added a snorkle and 2nd battery .

This seems to be a common symptom of many myswag users.

Yeah i think I'm getting old   as i was a cranky one after putting the last camper (21ft x19ft ) up buy myself all the time .

You might find as I did the P30 offset of the Prado rims prevents you fitting them :(

Welcome to Myswag, hope you enjoy your time on here.

If you had of said in your introduction that you were a lesbian, homosexual or bi, you would have had 5 pages of welcomes by now, but as it seams you are only hetrosexual, be content with only a couple of pages of welcome comments.

Welcome Huggy,

Plenty of Jayco owners here on Myswag and they have been a great help to me since I sold my soft floor in 09 and bought an 2004 Outback Swan.

Plenty of experience and advice. Its great.

I notice you're a Novocastrian and bought new. I'm curious if you got a good deal locally at Hexham or went elsewhere ?

Cheers

Newcastle was one of the dearest  we could have had a good deal from the gold coast   but we were out at dubbo for a wedding  and we went to have a look what he had , we found it had the hot water system, roof rack and a few other things  and without haggling he was the cheapest

It was 34deg  but it was on the water  so that made up for it . I only took one pic  as i was to busy

I Grew up in Newcastle (and alot of other places) my dad was a merchant seaman back in the day and that was his major port of call  for the Iron Ore ships he was on.

Enjoy the Jayco mate.

Swan has been great we don't get away as often as we would like but we have covered some distance with it . The only problem we had with it was the roof cracking in the corners . Warrenty covered it all . We are happy with it . When I get it back from getting some stuff done ill put some pics in the my camper section .
