Actual cost, or what I told the missus  >:D

Paying full retail, the 1" version is around $130 in bits, the 2" version is closer to $300. Living in the city and not having any rural suppliers close by I had to buy online as I couldn't source much of it locally. Thornado.com was about the only one I found where I could get everything from one place. Possibly if your rural then there might be a cheaper local supplier? and if you're creative and have access to a bender, then doing it out of exhaust pipe wouldn't be overly expensive?

Do all newly built motors need the same "love" ?
What about all the new motors in cars going down a production line ?
What happens if you let it idle ?

If you just start an engine with a new cam ad lifters and let it idle, the cam and lifters will begin to eat each other up.
All  newly rebuilt engines, with a new cam and lifters should get the same love.
I would expect, all new engines these days are tested/run in on the assembly line.
But, because I hate new cars, I've never bothered to look into it either.

Finished the big one  :D

Pictures below of the two side by side with a standard Aussie unit of measure for size comparison, and in their final resting place around the fire pit.

Buggered up a couple of things on the big one, I recon his nose is too long and his legs are a bit short, but I'll live with it. One thing I might change yet is his shoulders. I recon if I swap the female/female bends that form his shoulders with male/female the nipple wont be needed and his shoulders will be about 60mm narrower? I've also got to tinker a bit with the wick to get the flame right.

And you're correct Troopy, gal cast fittings. I did grind the gal off where I was welding, but I had a hard time getting the bead to stick to the cast  :'(

It is what it is now though................. I'll tell everyone I was aiming for the rustic look  ;D

Ha, his body dimensions are similar to my Brother-in-laws. Looks good though mate. And yeah, cast can be a bugger to weld.

They're actually sorted by brand with a couple of exceptions, oh and there are a few more yellow bottles in the post hence the gap beside the yellow bottle :)

I can’t see how you can rest now. You have an odd c9loured lid on the second bottom row, uneven amount of bottles in each row, a lid without a bottle..... oh and the gap with the door is not parallel.

Built new shelving for a new garden shed to store 30+ years of camping gear that I just can’t bring myself to throw out............you never know I may need it one day. Realised in the recent lockdown that we have 6 different esky/fridges & 8 different camping chairs🤔

That was only 3 years ago GG..... ???

It was and i remember there was only one store open that weekend so I got what they had. Did not really want to be out and about with a dodgy starter.

The new replacement has a 3 year warranty, see how it goes

Proved to myself, I am fukkin useless with a fukkin spray gun.

I hung some old cheapy tarps along the western wall of the shed, because, in winter, the westerly's blow dirt and Shit in under the guttering.
My idea is, the way I've hung them, it won't do dat anymore.

So today, i dragged out a brand new spray gun I've had for over a year.
Mixed up some water based paint, and sprayed the blue tarps white.

Fukk me, first, the paint was too thick, then the Shit was too thin.
Then I reached Goldylocks status and discovered the Shitty little compressor I have, was way too small to do the job.

I now have blue and white striped tarps set-up, with blobs the size of a 50 cent piece.
I have runs that are truly awesome, bolt a handle on the runs, you could use the ****ers as a roller door.

I have a mist in the shed, that looks like light snow.
My snot is all white..... yes, i had a mask, but the fukkin thing fogged up my glasses.
My glasses are now a white speckled finish.

All in all, what a wasted fukkin morning that turned out to be..
