Hmmmm

https://www.news.com.au/technology/environment/sustainability/victorian-households-to-sort-rubbish-into-four-bins-after-new-purple-addition/news-story/e9623f653f94135eb255c786d827d1ab
I used to own a cottage in the south of France (an inheritance) in a small village of about 750 people. There is no rubbish collection from households. Instead, there are bins placed at several locations around the village. The householder sorts his waste into glass, cardboard & paper and metal as well as his usual kitchen waste. These are placed into heavy duty plastic bags and taken to the village bins and deposited into the appropriate bin. The bags are provided, free, by the local council.
Larger items such as tree loppings, garden waste, old furniture, etc are taken to a dechetterie (rubbish transfer station) and placed into the appropriate skip as directed by the attendant. The tips are close to each village and immaculately maintained.
A by product is that the garden waste is mulched/composted and returned to the tip and can be accessed by any of the residents whenever they need to.
I guess a bit of educating/training was required to get the residents onboard when it first started but it works well now, and the tip attendant was quite attractive.

No one touched him, or will, that would jeopardize the ensuing proceedings.
I have a gut feeling this bloke was only the gate keeper.

Something odd, it would seem the child has been looked after.

As you say, just the gatekeeper or mule.
You may find the guy gets knocked before he says too much to the cops.

IMHO of course, i could be miles off track too.

For anybody who may be thinking about cars, especially for the kids:

& strangely enough, a lot of their recommendations are to buy something like an Audi, Beemer or Merc ...

It would be nice, but ... :'(

Needs a few more sinkholes to fix the issue ;) love Fraser but the idea of camping right next to someone and getting the Shits from shared toilets etc is extremely unappealing

A caravan and vehicle have been lost to the Gwydir River at Bingara overnight. This is the second flooding event this year that has claimed vehicles after tractors, caravan and cars were lost earlier during the March flooding event.

The occupants of this caravan were safely evacuated with other campers at around 1:00am. Unfortunately, their possessions were not so lucky.

Thank you goes to the SES and other emergency services that are working to keep us safe during this weather event.

Please stay away from flood water and listen to updated advice and warnings. Entering floodwater puts your life and the lives of others at risk

Great news... now for vigilante justice

Two men have been arrested over an alleged hit-run in Melbourne that killed a father-of-four and left his colleague seriously injured.

Hi,
Facility creep into undeveloped areas, especially when promoted in Govt circles, worry me.
I have yet to see one that benefits the area by bringing in coach loads of tourists and their associated needs.
Cheers

I’m sure the 4wd circuit will get canceled in the name of ecology and protection of some already mentioned endangered creatures. So to pacify everyone they will put in a one way bitumen road loop.
Then once the local tribe get involved, you will only be able to access it all on the tribes buses between the hours of 9-5 for a fee.
But I’m sure it will get named after some NSW Polly and be labeled as a huge success
