My understanding is..... there is a loophole for under 18's..... hence, no conviction and sent on their way.

The cops, judges and such, would know there is a loophole if that is, indeed correct.

So, for friggin years, its a merry go round.

Just maybe, these deaths will be the cause of that being fixed..

By slapping a murder charge, he's not getting parole.
That charge, will HIGHLY likely be reduced to a lesser charge later on.

I hope not, but it seems to be the way things go.

Community Corrections order at worse? Maybe a slap and stern finger waving?

Not sure if this page will share but this was the grub earlier at a set of lights before the tragic event .

From what the Asst. Commissioner of Police was saying on the news this morning, it could possibly three murder charges. The two adults and sadly the unborn child.

How about the immediate family of the deceased take out a civil case against the solicitor/lawyer/barrister who argued for him to be allowed out after his latest charges were heard.
I understand that the defence person was using his knowledge of the law to its best outcome for his client, but given the clients previous history, morally he should have walked away. Does the lawyer have any remorse now?

Pedestrians run for cover as car races through central Melbourne

This is concerning

The incident comes a week after the fourth anniversary of the deaths of six people who were hit and killed by James Gargasoulas as he sped through the CBD on January 20, 2017.

Victoria Police have confirmed they are investigating the incident after a vehicle refused to stop for officers and drove erratically in the CBD.

Yeah, maybe not so this time.

With this becoming so high profile so quickly..... this will be different.

The cops want him inside.
The Govt. for a change, want him inside.
The public certainly want him inside.

I'm not thinking, with so much media interest, and judge would be game to go easy on him.

The cops seem reluctant to call murder on the unborn child.
They want to go after, what they know will stick.

Heaps will arc up about no murder charge on the child, but I think, they are doing their homework here.

Even if they do downgrade the charges, it will be to make sure jail time is a given.

I hope i'm right.

Will the 'high profile' go against or for him....  'sorry judge he wont get a fair trial cause of high profile" (I watched perry mason once)

hope they make an example of it... but we know better.

I don't think the high profile thing will help the kid at all.

I also think, if he gets a light sentence, it will be appealed pretty smartly.

I think the cops do a good job of getting them to court.

This time, behind the scenes, I think the orders will be.... nail the little turd.

Baden-clay was high profile, really high profile, didn't do him any good.
He appealed, got a lesser sentence.
The powers to be, then threw their toys outta the cot.
Original sentence reinstated.

I would love to see the look on the kids face when he gets slammed with around a 10 year minimum.
Not a huge term, but better by a mile, anything in the passed so far.

Uncie Kev is all over this.... mark my words.  ;D
