BLOODY SNAKES.

Swung the Fleetwood up to the roller door to put it away.

Lucky for me, the lock sticks in that door, so went to the other door, to let myself in and do the roller door shuffle.
eastern brown slithered across in front of the Fleetwood.

Geez, i hope they're not attracted to the smell of Shit..... nearly pooped myself.

Bastard made himself comfortable under the box trailer.
Right where i was painting a brake caliper this morning.

Snake catcher guy is on his way and confirmed the pic was a "solid eastern brown"

I'll have nightmares tonight now.....  :-[

Had to drag this little guy off the track on the weekend.
He wasn’t to happy about it, but figured he’d much prefer some fat bald guy tugging on his tail, then some dumb P plater lining up his head with their wheels.

I was outside before, doing the ol tippy toe Homer walk to see if i could spot him.

My phone in my top pocket rang.....I squealed like a girl..... Steve Irwin..... i ain't.
It was Astrid wanting an update on the snake.... geez.
Lucky she does the washing..... code brown in the underwear and Leroy is still out there somewhere.

OH yeah, i  nicknamed the snake Leroy Brown.  ;D

We couldn't find the slippery little sucker.  ???

He's shed his skin and buggered off.... we think... hope.

Man, i'm gunna be Shitting myself in the shed tomorrow.

I tell ya, it was a good looking snake after dropping its skin..... wicked shine.

I put all the bits together.... 1.4 metres long on the skin, so about a 1.2m snake allowing for the stretch factor.

At a $120, it would've been nice to find him.... but the next call out is free.

You should be OK. He'll probably just crawl up under the Fleetwood and find a nice place to perch up out of the way. You don't have any holes that he might get into the cab do you? LOL

The Fleetwood doesn't have ...... holes...... how rude.

No Foo, we don't have a shotgun.  ::)

And even if i did, by the time i ran inside to grab it from the wardrobe in the second bedroom and ran outside again, Leroy would be gone.

That was the whole issue, while i was hanging around, Leroy stayed  under the trailer.
As soon as i came in, googled a number, rang the guy...... blah blah.
The snake guy reckoned Leroy  would've legged it. Bah ha ha ha..... a snake legged it.... oh shut up.

The two guys did a thorough job of looking for him.
2 sweeps of the shed, the grounds, around the house, the cottage, man o man, they looked in every nook and granny.

2 guys, here for 90 minutes.....$120 doesn't seem too bad.
Its mating season, so Leroy's just out looking for a root.
Especially now he's shed his skin and has a shiny new coat...... very dapper.
I hope the little guy finds himself a very cute girl, a lady when they're out on the town and a fire breathing slut in bedroom.

Jeepers, from your description it seems that "Leroy" has identified you and is probably attracted to your scent. That being the case he is likely to re visit when you are alone. It should be a point of reassurance that "Leroy" is not the deadliest snake in the world or even Australia. No, he is only second. As such you are unlikely to die from a bite IF someone nearby thinks enough of you to call an ambulance. You shouldn't do this yourself. Repetition of a single word in a loud rant is unlikely to result in flashing lights in your driveway. So you should seriously consider buying gifts and being ultra pleasant to your better half until, sorry, in case, the bite happens. She should also be encouraged to acquire and learn to use pressure bandages. Cotton wool balls might be handy too - they help with the noise. Remember you should keep calm when - sorry again, if you are bitten.

It is also important to understand that "Leroy" is a protected animal and as such his welfare has to be considered. If you are not already using them it might be appropriate to start a programme of antibiotics. These should help "Leroy" to avoid infection.

Most hospitals throughout Oz have multi species anti venoms although I understand in Qld  it is dependent upon budgetary constraint. These medications are very expensive. You will have plenty of time to calm down as your ambulance driver travels from hospital to hospital seeking one with the anti venom. The anti venom, if - sorry when, you get it is now a highly developed medication and the side effects are few. Because it is developed from horse blood anti bodies you might find that you fart uncontrollably, snort and shake your head from side to side but hey better than dying.
