Title: jayco roof eyelets
Post by: wiggo on February 22, 2013, 03:20:46 PM
Hi all
there is an old thread but no answer i'm after so
have an 06 outback swan has anyone here added the tie down eyebolts themselves
just want to know what size you used and how you did the job ???
i was thinking you just support the roof up enough to get to the top of the telescopic rod and replace with eyebolt ???
thanks

What is the old thread you are refering to?  I may be able to help with some photos and info as my 2012 outback came standard with the eyelets, but I did reply to an older topic a while back so maybe you already have seen mine.  Let me know if I can help as I'm doing a bit of work on the camper this weekend and a picture speaks a thousand words.

picture shows position of bolt for telescopic rods circled yellow,if i use these the eyebolt will be behind the awning bag and will certainly rub through it.
so will put the eyebolt in the red circle with large panel washes
any comments welcome
