I still have untouched the original C drive taken out in the first week, untouched in my desk but I will lose to much info.

How did you do the install? there should be a roll back option if you just ran the update.
Cheers, John.

Just back from taking a damaged laptop to the computer shop we use. Had a joke with him about the posters across the front of the counter "Introducing Windows 7" & asked if he was "upgrading" 10 back to 7?  :D

He said yes!  >:D

Reckons that when it came out, they all thought this is great, but as time has passed, the gloss has well & truly worn off.

Latest bit just in this last week is a new patch came out - download size is 1Gb!  >:D So if you go to upgrade tomorrow (please don't, at least not yet!) then it's 3Gb for original Win 10 then an immediate extra 1Gb patch, & if the patch download process is interrupted, it goes back to the beginning & starts over from scratch  >:(

So, all his built PCs & laptops are all still being put together with Win 7 in them & he has no plans to change, at least for a few MONTHS, while M$ try to get their act together.

I'm certainly not rushing into changing for the sake of it!

Tried it on a Surface Pro without a hitch, so installed it on a (6mth old) Laptop that came with 8.1...except for using IE over Edge, all my old programs are working fine, and neither has missed a beat.
Been using 10 for about 2.5mths now  :)

I have decided to bite the bullet, format the SSD and clone it again from the original C drive which I took out. I would rather use win 7 but it does not support touch screen so it's back to 8.1.

This is a general puter question......when I highlight and  right click on a quote, the delete option has gone ???  I know I can hit the delete button, but it's easier with the mouse.

Anyone got an idea ?

Please explain..  ;D  Do you mean when you highlight a quote in a Myswag thread in your browser? Or somewhere else?
Cheers, John.

Yep, although it doesn't matter which website, when I highlight part of a quote to delete, and right click,  it isn't there anymore. Seems old fashioned to have to do it with the keyboard !

Sorry to rain on the parade of those that have had troubles,
All is working well here, don't have any of the problems that some have, all is working the same before the upgrade.
Hope you guys find a solution to your problems.

So I have had no problems until.....

The wifi on my tablet kept dropping out when in use. Google'd the problem, found that the default setting is to "turn off power to adaptor to save power". So fixed that and all good again.

I much prefer Win 8.1 but haven't had any problems with 10 so didn't see the point in rolling back.

Firefox and Chrome have tiles and the have awesome additions that make the internet usable. A great start in cleaning up your browser is uBlock Origin Chrome Firefox

Well I finally got sick of that pesky Win10 update nag popping up, so I bit the bullet and decided to do something about it.
I installed this http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/gwx_control_panel.html
4.2L TD Toyota Troopy, (Clarke's Country Camper Trailer, softfloor.) sold it and bought a Avan Ray small poptop caravan.

you can just end GWX in task manager then delete the folder
c:\Windows\System32\GWX\

it wont bother you again.

I had the same until someone on her mentioned a forum where those issues where discussed.
Same thing, disabled that feature and all good.
