Title: Lloyds and MDC Trailers
Post by: Jeepers Creepers on December 08, 2018, 04:45:58 AM
I notice, MDC have all sorts of bits and pieces going up for auction still.

They had workshop equipment up the other day too.

They seem to be clearing a lot of gear quickly.  ???

You don’t need manufacturing gear if you workshops are all in China

There was a time when, to set up a workshop in China, you had to take all the equipment over there and then show them how to use it.
Obviously MDC aren't doing it that way.

Yeah, although the prices I have seen stuff going for, I'm not surprised they keep finding stuff to offload, if it stops being random excess stuff superfluous too requirements it might raise my eyebrow

I was looking at a MDC camper at the Kilsyth showroom a couple of weeks ago and the salesman was quite open about the fact they were Chinese made with some of the assembly done in Australia. Was quite refreshing to be told the truth without even bringing the topic up.

He also mentioned they are working towards reopening their Campbellfield factory to do the assembly and eventually consolidating all the other factories into that one. All these bits getting sold might be a product of this consolidation.

Face crap has ads for a number of Vans going under the hammer soon all staring at $1 ..  My take on them is they are show / display / units used in magazine / tv shows / warranty return units and excess older stock .

They already own their own factory in China.
