I think it's yours! I was down there again this morning dropping the annex off and Ian had yours on the jack and mentioned one bearing was pretty loose.

bugger! it's certainly an Omeo...... :(   not looking forward to seeing the axle ........ neither hub was geting hot, how reliable is hub temperature as an indicator of bearing failure?

Hi guys,

I can tell you the video posted on our Facebook page, belonged to deluxhilux, and Ian will be looking at your trailer soon big thread. The axel is fine so don't worry about that.

As for hub temp being a reliable indicator of bearing failure ............ Yes it is a sign something is not right, it could be the wheel bearing are adjusted incorrectly or the wheel bearing has an in-perfection in it, causing friction which causes the heat.

Don't be tricked by brake temp, best way to know if your wheel bearing are in good order, is an inspection, by Tambo Camper Trailers for your Tambo's or your local trailer repair center for other camper trailer.

Great to see things going well Ian, just back from 3500 km's  through some harsh country and with some crazy winds, the Omeo took it all in its stride and the only damage was a loss of paint to anything facing the front and a broken bungy cord on the stone guard.

Just wondering if you are able to get hold of any touch up paint for the campers. Two weeks in the Flinders has taken a bit of paint off the forward facing areas.

GG i used White Knight Charcoal Hammertone from The Big  Green Tool Box, and its a dead ringer for mine. Ive had to touch up my draw bar and front panels after our West coast /Central Oz tour.  I also have a can of "genuine" Tambo paint, but i havent ued it because the White Knight is easier to get.  Ian was looking at some fancy paint, that might be interesting

Thanks, after detailing the trailer on the weekend the paint has taken a battering. Will pick up a can and see how it goes.

Hi with the omeo kitchen the shelf sink section is a pain dismantling and putting it back together again then having to pack it away and store it when setting up hopefully you can redesign it so it folds up like some of the other brand campers have made and maybe ma a kit form so can change existing ones

I thought the same wiith mine. I liked the wire frame arrangment on the Cooper. I asked Keith to make me one to suit the Omeo, but it never happened. Fast forward to 2013, i mentioned it to Ian after he restarted Tambo and he got it done for me

. He was looking to make this a standard feature on new builds. Not  sure if he's got  that done. Mine was the prototype, and it works a treat, and Ian can sort you out. Its a fairly easy retrofit. Give Ian a call!!!

i can vouch for their campers, been to see ian, and one word describes his campers "WOW" well made, and durable, and the other thing is, Ian will not take short cutts, very fussy about the quality of work,
Good job Ian :cup:
